Blackstone Valley

The Blackstone Valley Region includes 11 towns located along the Blackstone River in south-central Massachusetts. It is convenient to the Massachusetts Turnpike via Routes 146 and 122, and is within an hour's drive of major airports in Boston, Worcester, Hartford and Providence. It is also close to major rail routes and seaports.

The region is home to a population of over 100,000 residents and a labor force of almost 60,000 workers. Employment in the area is largely concentrated in the areas of Manufacturing, Services and Wholesale and Retail Trade. The 40-mile long Blackstone Valley National Heritage Corridor, which contains historical sites dating back to the beginnings of the American Industrial Revolution, runs through the region.
